The Penguins finished 9th out of
36 teams from Ohio and five other states at the Peppe/Bruce
Meet at Ohio State over the weekend. The 22 swimmers swam 74
PBs, 9 Sweeps and set 12 Long Course Team Records. Sweeping
their events were Haley Banner,
Ally Braun, Fletcher Holquist, Luke Jaycox, Alicia Margello,
Matthew McMahon, William Paull, Samantha Persons and Michael
Racke. The new team records set over the
weekend were Ally
Braun, 9-10 Girls 50, 100 and 200 free; Rachel Peroni, 9-10
Girls 50 back and 200 IM; Fletcher Holquist, 8 &
Under Boys 100 Free; Matthew
Lennon, 15-18 Boys 50 Free; Matthew McMahon, 15-18
Boys 200 Free; William
Paull, 15-18 Boys 1500 Free; 9-10 Girls 400 Medley
Relay of Hannah Beavers,
Braun, Peroni and Michaela Neal;
9-10 Girls 400 Free Relay of Peroni, Neal, Abigail Weis and
Braun; 15-18 Boys 400 Free Relay of Lennon, Tim McCullough,
Paull and McMahon.
The upcoming USA meets the Penguins will
participate in are the Senior Long Course Championships at Kenyon
College (July 9th and 11th) and the Long Course Junior Olympics at
Miami University (July 15th through 18th).
